What Are the 2025 Ram 1500's New Engines?

As we mentioned above, the 2025 model year introduces three new powertrain options for the Ram 1500. The trusted 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine remains standard equipment, with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the 395-horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8 from previous model years is replaced by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine that delivers an impressive 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, this same engine is available in a high-output variant, tuned for 540 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the 2025 model year introduces the Ram 1500 Ramcharger, the brand's first-ever plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The Ramcharger features the aforementioned Pentastar engine. However, attached to the engine is an onboard generator, which harnesses the mechanical energy from the engine, converts it into electrical energy, and sends it to the electric drive modules found on the front and rear axles and/or the battery pack. This setup provides an exceptional 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque.

New Features for the 2025 Ram 1500

The 2025 model year introduces a new generation of the Ram 1500, so it received a complete makeover both inside and out. Most notably, the front fascia is noticeably more aggressive with a larger and wider grille and reshaped headlights, which now come standard with LED lighting across the entire lineup. Additionally, the grille is leaned slightly forward, adding to the truck's intimidating posture. An exciting upgrade for the Ram 1500's exterior is the newly available remote power tailgate, allowing you to lower the tailgate at the push of a button. New for the 2025 model year is the all-new Tungsten trim. The Ram 1500 Limited trim passes the torch to the Tungsten trim, crowning it the most luxurious truck in its class now. This is because of the Tungsten's 22-inch alloy wheels, heated, cooled, massaging, and 24-way power-adjustable front seats, quilted Natura Plus leather upholstery, a largest-in-class 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen, and an exclusive Klipsch Reference Premier audio system with 23 speakers, among many other features. The all-new 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen is designed for co-piloting functions, giving the front passenger access to entertainment features, maps, exterior cameras, and more.

How Safe is the 2025 Ram 1500?

Ram revamped the 2025 Ram 1500's safety for the 2025 model year, taking it to the next level with more than 100 standard and available safety features. No matter the trim level you select, you'll find standard equipment such as electronic stability control with roll mitigation, six airbags, and a backup camera with dynamic grid lines, among others. Ram also offers the 2025 Ram 1500 a full suite of available driver aids to help drivers avoid a collision. Visibility is everything when it comes to safety on the road. That's why the 2025 Ram 1500 is available with a digital rearview mirror that provides an unobstructed view of the road behind you using a rear-facing camera. Meanwhile, the digital rearview mirror offers tow mode, which uses side cameras to bring your trailer's length into view. This works in conjunction with the available blindspot monitoring with trailer coverage, which alerts you when a vehicle is in the blindspot of the truck, even with a trailer up to 39.5 feet long. Meanwhile, the Ram 1500 is also eligible for collision prevention technologies like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, evasive steering assist, and forward collision mitigation. For added convenience, the available adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go feature maintains a pre-set distance between you and the vehicle in front of you – even in traffic – using radar sensors and cruise control. Other advanced technologies include parallel/perpendicular park assist, traffic sign recognition, drowsy driver detection, and Hands Free Active Driving Assist, which combines the benefits of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
