However, attached to the engine is an onboard generator, which harnesses the mechanical energy from the engine, converts it into electrical energy, and sends it to the electric drive modules found on the front and rear axles and/or the battery pack. The 2025 model year introduces a new generation of the Ram 1500, so it received a complete makeover both inside and out. Ram revamped the 2025 Ram 1500's safety for the 2025 model year, taking it to the next level with more than 100 standard and available safety features. Meanwhile, the digital rearview mirror offers tow mode, which uses side cameras to bring your trailer's length into view. This works in conjunction with the available blindspot monitoring with trailer coverage, which alerts you when a vehicle is in the blindspot of the truck, even with a trailer up to 39.5 feet long. Meanwhile, the Ram 1500 is also eligible for collision prevention technologies like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, evasive steering assist, and forward collision mitigation. For added convenience, the available adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go feature maintains a pre-set distance between you and the vehicle in front of you – even in traffic – using radar sensors and cruise control. Other advanced technologies include parallel/perpendicular park assist, traffic sign recognition, drowsy driver detection, and Hands Free Active Driving Assist, which combines the benefits of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
