RWD is standard for V6 engines while 4WD is available. 4WD is the standard configuration for V8 engines. Jeep mates every engine to a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. 2019 Chevrolet Equinox Power & Handling

The Chevrolet Equinox can be powered by one of three engines for the 2019 model year. The first, a 1.5-liter turbo inline-4, creates 170 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque.
