In 2018, the Dodge Challenger has become the first-ever American factory-production two-door muscle car with four-wheel drive and to have an SRT Power Chiller System. New in 2018, the Dodge Challenger adds the SRT Demon to its model lineup. This model's engine can reach a horsepower of 840. The previously highest horsepower was the SRT Hellcat with 707 horsepower. The SRT Hellcat receives a few upgrades in 2018 as well. A new addition of a grille, with illuminated Air-Catcher headlamps with the Hellcat logo, and demonic red laguna seating.

What are the different models for the 2018 Challenger?

There are seven different models beginning with the SXT and ending with the brand new edition of the SRT Demon. The basic SXT model has heated mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, keyless ignition and entry, fold down rear seats, Bluetooth, and much more. The GT is the next step up and is the only all-wheel-drive model. The GT comes with foglights, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The R/T has the same features as the SXT, but with 20-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, a limited-slip differential, foglights, and an active sport exhaust. Next up is the R/T 392 which exchanges the brakes for Brembo performance brakes and adds a rear spoiler, rear parking sensors, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with the latest version of Uconnect. The SRT 392 model builds off the R/T 392 by adding xenon headlights, heated front seats, special air intake, and a heated sport steering wheel. Variants are offered for these models to add extra features into the mix. Lastly, we have the SRT Hellcat and the SRT Demon. The Hellcat is equipped for speed and improved handling and grip. The Demon has been named the most powerful muscle car in history with its numerous cooling systems, street-legal drag slicks, and surprising lack of all seats, but the drivers. Don't worry the other seats can be added back in if wanted though.

What's under the hood of the 2018 Dodge Challenger?

The 2018 Dodge Challenger comes standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission, but has the option of a 6-speed manual transmission. The SXT and GT models come with a 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. The R/T and T/A models have the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with 372 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The R/T Scat Pack, 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker, the SRT 392, and the T/A 392 come with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine and have 485 horsepower. The Hellcat and Demon both come with the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine with the Hellcat reaching 707 horsepower and the Demon 840. The Hellcat has 650 lb-ft of torque, while the Demon reaches 770 lb-ft of torque.

How many safety features are available?

The 2018 Charger has over 70 security and safety features with a 5-star crash test rating from the Department of Transportation. A few of the standard features available on all models include Parkview rear back-up cameras and blind-spot warning. Some of the optionally available features include adaptive cruise control, rear cross path detection, and blind-spot monitoring.
