What's new for the Grand Cherokee in 2023

There is a lot to be excited about with the Grand Cherokee in 2023, as several new elements exist. For starters, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is now available with the 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain so that you can tackle the trails in style. Also, the Uconnect 5 NAV system has a 10.1-inch digital touchscreen on the Limited and Overland models. Then there are the amazing audio systems you can get on the higher trims levels! As a standalone option on the Limited model, there is a nine-speaker Alpine audio system. On the Summit and Overland models, there is a 19-speaker McIntosh Audio System, a standalone option for the Overland and Summit models. These features are fantastic and are sure to impress drivers and passengers alike.

Power for the 2023 Grand Cherokee

One of the first things you think about when you think about the Grand Cherokee is the power, and there are three engine options available for the 2023 Grand Cherokee. The first engine you can get is a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers an impeccable 293 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. If you decide on one of the higher trims of the Grand Cherokee, such as the Trailhawk, Summit, or Overland, then you have the option of a 5.7-liter V8 that kicks out a spectacular 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The final engine is known as the 4xe, which uses a base 2.0-liter four-cylinder and combines it with a battery pack and two electric motors to generate 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This engine also comes with 25 miles of all-electric range and is now available for the off-road capable Trailhawk trim. Every one of these engines pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is standard for the V6, with four-wheel-drive being available! On the V8 and the 4xe, four-wheel-drive is standard.

Off-Road Capability of the Grand Cherokee

Nothing can match the Grand Cherokee's capability, and it begins with three exclusive 4x4 systems known as the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II, which come with a rear electronic limited-slip differential. All three have an active transfer case which improves traction by moving torque to the wheel with the most grip. Meanwhile, the class-exclusive Jeep Quadra-Lift air suspension has electronic semi-active damping and delivers up to 10.9 inches of ground clearance and 24 inches of water fording. This system adjusts the shock tuning to changing road conditions that have enhanced comfort, stability, and control. It can also get five height settings for optimum ride performance. Finally, the Selec-Terrain System lets customers choose the on or off-road settings for the optimal 4x4 performance, and it automatically coordinates 4x4 torque split, braking and handling, steering and suspension systems, throttle control, transmission shift, transfer case, traction control, stability control, and the antilock brake system. It also comes in five modes, including Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand.

Features for the 2023 Grand Cherokee

Not only is the Grand Cherokee a fantastic off-road vehicle, but it's also very well equipped with tech, luxury, and performance items! The base trim is the Laredo, and it comes standard with a Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an 8.4-inch digital touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Higher trims levels get far more advanced items such as front tow hooks, a front-facing camera, gloss black roof, hill ascent and descent control, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, all-terrain tires, and an adaptive air suspension with selectable ride height settings. Those looking for more luxury and tech items will want to go with the Overland, Limited, and Summit trims, which have leather seats, a sunroof, a more extensive and more functional touchscreen infotainment system, and heated seats! The Grand Cherokee is genuinely a one-of-a-kind vehicle!
